Purpose

Two friends and I set out to write this blog about 5 years ago. Sadly, life got in the way. Some of life's happenings were good, some devasting. At the time, one of us was newly married and planning out her career and family (me), another was experiencing thyroid issues and a variety of other health issues that were determined genetic and  environment. The other friend was struggling with a variety of ailments without much explanation from physicians. Unfortunately, her battle ended about year ago. It was determined she had a rare form of leukemia. Traveling for  treatments and no remission insight, her battle ended and left many of us with a hole in our hearts.

My husband and I recently returned from a wonderful vacation on the east coast. One morning at the beach with our two small children, there were beautiful sailboats on the calm Atlantic Ocean water. My husband turned to me and said it made him think of our friend who recently passed. She was in sailing club. She loved scrabble and was a great listener and advice giver.
When they finally determined what was wrong witu her they ultimately said that it was likely linked to a chemical exposure from childhood. This devasted me to think about. As the year has passed, I realize that my focus on limiting chemicals is a must. As we approach the anniversry of her passing, I felt the need to try to get this blog up and running. So, hear we go.

My plan is to discuss real health goals, struggles, share products I love and why.. But more than anything it is to help me and my family live better.
